Skin Moles are very common. Most adults fifteen to twenty different places on the body. Some have more. The majority of skin moles appear during the first 20 years of the life of the person.
They are classified as a tumor, and, as such, are the most common tumor in man. The great majority of them are harmless and will have no problem except maybe cosmetic problems.
Some may, however, for stages and could become extremely dangerous forms of cancer. Your doctor is the only one who can increase the risk of a diagnosis. If the recurrent skin moles may indicate a possible melanoma.
Though that sounds scary, most cancers are completely harmless. The harmful or dangerous ones are known as dysplastic nevi. These are the ones that may eventually be melanoma. This atypical growths are most common in people with a genetic predisposition.
Here are some signs that your skin moles can be dangerous. This is not a complete list. If you suspect that something more, you should contact your doctor immediately.
Malignant skin mole can have one, some or all of the following qualities:
• Larger than an eraser on a pencil
• Inconsistent shape or color
• Spontaneous bleeding
• Painful or itchy
• Changes in size and color
• Inflammatory changes can not be justified by an external factor.
If you are concerned about a skin mole is malignant or dangerous, only your doctor to keep your mind completely at ease. The sooner you contact a doctor, the better you will be if the skin mole is dangerous.
